Now you can kill your neighbor from the comfort of your phone! Assassins is a location-based game you play on your mobile device. You earn Blood Money by attacking and assassinating others with any weapon you can imagine. But wait, its not that easy - players can use armor to defend themselves, as well as launch a devastating Counter Attacks!
MISSION
As an Assassin, you have the ability to attack those who come within your deadly range (derived via GPS). Use short-range weapons to take out those that get too close, and long-range weapons to attack those that are still within reach. With each successful attack and/or kill, you'll earn Blood Money. Use your Blood Money to purchase better Weapons and Armor, thus increasing your ability to attack and survive. Advanced players can even create their own custom weapons and armor.
Be Careful: Attacking someone gives them the temporary ability to Counterattack for 50% more damage, so pick your targets carefully.
Important: If you come across someone who isn't an active Assassin (playing the game), you can taunt them into joining the game by sending a devastating Humiliation.
GETTING STARTED
Once you download from iTunes (other platforms, signup to be notified) the application on your device, you'll be asked to enter your Code Name and Email Address. Choose carefully - we make it very difficult to change these for a variety of 'fair play' reasons. Now you're ready to Attack!
You start the game by "Checking In", which updates your physical location. From this point forward, every time you start the application - it will update your location.
Warning: Failing to check-in periodically will put you at risk! Even when the application isn't on, other Assassins can find you at the last place you checked-in. Failing to check-in could result in being attacked and upon checking-in, your new location will put the attacker out of range!
You're pretty weak when you start - you have zero (0) kills and deaths, no armor, and only basic weapons. For short range attacks, you'll use your Fists. For long-range, you'll use your trusty Slingshot. The good news is that you're healthy (500 health) and your boss gave you $500 in Blood Money to get started - spend it wisely.
Once you've bought some armor and picked up a new weapon, you're ready to start earning money by Attacking other Assassins. You'll earn money with each attack and a bonus if it results in a kill. If you're close to dying, you can always Hide - other Assassins can't see you and gain Health.
Warning: You can't hide right after you attack, so pay attention to your health if you're going to attack.
